Our Story
Long before we photographed weddings, we were chasing beauty in other places. It started with film cameras bought in antique shops, photography and film studies in school, weekends spent watching classic films, and an ever-growing collection of vintage objects that told stories. Whether we were documenting our travels or photographing friends and family, we were always drawn to the feeling of a place, telling a story, and the concept that our cameras could preserve a moment in time.
Years of documenting our lives and our desire for a joint creative pursuit eventually grew into the wedding studio we share today. Old Soul Studio is where our romanticism and passion for creativity have collided.

Our Method
Creating beautiful images is about more than just camera work. We understand that the energy that we bring to your wedding day has a huge impact on your experience. By bringing a supportive and calming presence, we are able to create an atmosphere that feels comfortable for you to shine.
A relaxed couple is a more connected couple, and that ease and connection translates beautifully through the lens. Throughout the day, we'll offer both guidance or space when needed. We know that this balance creates the best images and the best experience for our couples.

We’re Maddie and Dani — partners in life and in our work. We’re newlyweds ourselves and know firsthand just how meaningful, emotional, and wildly fast a wedding day can feel. We also know how important it is to be present for it. We're here to help you do that, while creating a time-capsule that will honor your love story and your wedding day.

Massachusetts is home, but our work takes us all over New England. We spend as much of our summers by the beach and our winters in the mountains as we can. We love the ocean - salty air, sand bars, outdoor showers, shucking oysters, and digging clams. We love dinner parties in all forms - hosting them, being invited to them, lingering late with people we love gathered around a table. The "sobremesa" as Dani says. We’re drawn to anything vintage - flea markets, thrift stores, old cameras (of course), and vintage clothing; rehabbing old furniture, old turntables, old boats, and old cars. We love anything with a story behind it.
We truly love what we do. Getting to be creative together while also being a part of such important moment in people's lives is a true privilege. We love ushering couples through their wedding day with calming energy and joy. Genuinely getting to connect with amazing people never stops being our favorite part of the job. We value the trust that our couples put into us to tell their story, and our goal is always the same - to make something honest, beautiful, moving, and lasting, while making you feel as comfortable and yourselves as possible.
